Microman Micro Force 2003
After two years of hiatus, Takara released a brand new Microman series called Microman 2003. The new series, unlike the 1999 Magne Power, was geared more toward adults collectors instead of kids. The series featured a new Microman body design that boost over 30 points of articulations in a compact 10cm size (slightly taller than original Microman figure which was about 9.5cm). The new body, which interestingly look a lot like micro-size of Cyborg 99, came with interchangeable hands, ball-joints arms and legs and removable head (similar to Beta Midget head design). Takara released two debut series in May of 2003. The first series was called Micro Force which included four figures - Commander Microman, Ninja Microman, Gunner Microman and Spy Microman. The second series was a characters tie-in series called Tatsunoko Fight! Microman based on characters from! PSX (PS2) video game of the same name.

Micro Force series was Microman in a new modern super articulated body. The first four new Microman were a mixture of the original design combined with the elements from the 1999-2000 Magne/LED series and the Cyborg Double-Nine. Micro Force Microman head designs had more cyborg-like look than the original series and each figure came with chrome weapon accessories that were clearly influenced by Takara 1/6 scale line CG and X-Borg (Cy Com) series. All four Micro Force shared the same Henshin Cyborg Android A-like smoke clear body but each with different trim colors, head designs and chest emblems. Actually the Microman Force series was almost akin to the Microman Zone series where the Microman figure was based on the 1/6 scale Cyborg line. The 2003 series was more like a "Neo-Microman Zone".
Commander Microman, a commando style Microman leader of Micro Force, came with normal dark chrome human head with dark red trims. His accessories included chrome armor strap, machine gun, side-arm, holster and combat knife. Ninja Microman, a close combat martial art expert Microman, came with dark chrome ninja mask head, and dark purple trim. His accessories included chrome armor, katana with sheath, and large sword. Gunner Microman, a fire-arm expert Microman, came with dark chrome head wearing night vision goggles and dark blue trim. His accessories included chrome armor, and a Gatling gun. The last member of Micro Force was Spy Microman, a tech expert Microman, came with dark chrome bald head with head gear (similar to Lobot from Star Wars). He came with chrome armor with mechanical arms, grappling anchor and a claw. Interestingly, the mechanical arms of Spy Microman and Gatling gun of Gunner Microman used the same ball joint sockets and can be interchanged with the standard arms and gave them Machine Android A looks.

Beside the chrome weapon accessories, each figures also came with five extra pairs of hands (for a total of six pairs). There were close fist set, open fists, trigger hands, chop fists and another set of grip hands. Each figure came package in a clear plastic tube with the figure mount on cardboard. Beside the usual legal information, there was very little story and the old Microman logo was no where to be found on the package. Instead it was replaced by new gold round Microman 2003 logo with "Micro-Size Action Figure Series" wordings. Another interesting note was the various series logo were mostly in English such as Micro Force logo, Microman 2003 logo and even the sub-heading were all in English.
NOTE: Due to the popularity of Microman 2003, Takara had expanded the line with Microman 2004 series. (It seem Micro Force and 2003 was originally design as a one time deal to test the market for new Microman line) The Micro Force were re-designation as MF1-0X for 2004 series and characters tie-in line was expanded to full line called "Micro-Action Series". Takara reissued 2nd run of Micro Force and Tatsunoko Fight in Feb. of 2004.
