Microman Rescue Servo Machines

I don't know much about these nifty little windup toys, but this style of toy was prevelant in some sci-fi toy lines at the time, generally coming with an illustrated bottom cardboard stand, and a domed clear plastic top to display the windup. They were usually securely fastened a the white rubberized elastic band.

Likely in an attempt to widen it's appeal, and rekindle the fading Microman magic, Takara threw everything into the Rescue line to generate sales. These colorful Servo Machines came in four styles, each in six colors(!), making the task of completing the set quite cahallenging. At the time I had these, I only made it up to a mere five. The images for this entry are the ones I used to own.

The Servos each had very simple gimmicks. As you can see in this variety, just a simple raiseable hood, and spinning propeller in back.
